Camping/Two Month Check up/Happy Birthday Daddy!

Lots to catch up on!

Last Friday we drove up to Bangor for the Shrine weekend. The babies slept the whole way up. Elizabeth on the other hand talked and asked if we were there yet more times than I can count. We stayed in Josh's parents camper Friday and Saturday night. This was the babies first camping experience. They sleep like babies! The girls stayed at my sister inlaws moms house after the parade while Josh was busy with the Shriners and I was at a ladies lunch.

On Monday evening we had a meet and greet at Nanny and Grampy's house. Many family and friends came to see Hannah and Emma for the first time. (Thank you for all of the nice gifts!!) We came home on Tuesday and again the babies slept the whole way home. Elizabeth took a little cat nap.

Today was a big day for Emma and Hannah. They had their two month check up. Both babies are doing great! They are both 8lbs 3ozs! The poor babies had shots done today too. Neither one of them liked them and screamed at the top of their lungs. Hannah took it the hardest and has been a little fussy since we got home.

Today is also Josh's birthday! After taking the babies to the doctors we went to Target and picked up a few things for the babies then went out to lunch. This was the first time that we have been out to eat as a family. The girls slept through it so we lucked out.

Just what Josh wanted for his birthday: 3 girls!!

8 Weeks old today

So Emma and Hannah were born 8 weeks ago. They both had eye exams last week and both checked out fine. We are packing for a long weekend to Ellsworth. Josh is joining the Shrine on Saturday and we are having a "meet and greet" on Monday night. It should be a busy weekend. This will be Emma and Hannah's first time to Ellsworth and the first time traveling in a car longer then 30 minutes. So it should be interesting.
Tomorrow is Josh's last day of school and he is looking forward to being home more often.

June 10th Due Date

So today would have been my due date had I gone full term with one baby. The girls will be 7 weeks old tomorrow! So far they are doing great and finding their voice. They are feeding every three hours still.

Last Friday night we took them out to Portland to pick up photos. Elizabeth was hungry and it was feeding time for the babies so we went to the food court. Hannah decided to spit up all over me just as we were getting ready to go. It looks like I'll be sure to pack extra clothing with me next time.

Saturday we had Kim, her fiance Tim and the girls over for a small cookout. It was the first time they had met the girls.

On Sunday we had a family baby shower. Everyone got to meet the girls and it went well. The girls got a lot of nice things.

On Sunday night the girls were really stuffed up. Elizabeth has been fighting a head cold so I'm sure that hasn't help the girls out much. We have been making sure she is washing her hands and staying out of the babies faces. On Monday I called their doctors office and they recommended using little noses saline spray/drops.

On Monday the girls stopped in to see Daddy at school and meet his students. The staff were also introduced to the girls. Then on Tuesday we made it to a staff meeting at St. James to show the girls off. (All of the praying they did while I was in the hospital must have helped!!)

Today they have not been very happy. I pulled out their swings to help to keep them upright. They both ended up falling asleep. Thank god. I was finally able to take a nap too.

Tomorrow we have appointments with the eye doctor. I'm doing it on my own so lets hope it isn't to traumatic. We will try to update the blog with some new pictures sometime soon.

June 4th A visit to my work.

Another outing with all three girls by myself. Josh had a field trip and needed to be at school early so I decided to keep Elizabeth home with me. We all took a trip to my work to visit my co-workers and students. Emma and Hannah slept through it. Elizabeth was her shy self but a big helper pushing the carriage and holding the door open for the babies.

When we got home it was time for a feeding. Elizabeth is now entertaining them by reading them books and singing to them. She is such a great big sister!

Josh should be home around 5:30 tonight and them going to a mason meeting or something like that for another degree. How ever that works. His dad and brothers are coming down and stopping in to see the girls before going over to the lodge.

June 1st Emma the night owl

We had a great weekend. Elizabeth and I went out Friday night to Kohls and got dinner to bring home. Daddy stayed home with Emma and Hannah. On Saturday Josh and Elizabeth went up to Portland to pick up the storage box for the Pacifica. They also went down to the water and bought lobstah and clams for dinner. While they were away my friend Joy stopped over to drop off a gift for the girls and get a peek at them. Sunday Elizabeth and I picked up the cross bars for the Pacifica to put the storage box on and then we went grocery shopping.

Yesterday Elizabeth helped give the babies baths. Earlier in the day I had spelled out bath to Josh saying the girls needed one. Elizabeth had no idea what I had spelled and said she wanted one. When I asked her what she wanted she said "a G-H-I" I busted out laughing of course. What a silly girl!

So little Emma is deciding to be a night owl. Once they are feed I have been putting them back to bed and then climb into bed myself. Miss Emma hasn't been going to sleep instead she is making all kinds of noise for attention in her bed. As soon as I get out of bed and she sees me she is all content. Today I tried to keep her up after feeding her so hopefully she'll be tired at 2am and not 2pm.

I picked up Elizabeth from daycare today with Emma and Hannah. She really loves these babies. In the back of the car she is rambling up a storm about what she is going to do when she gets home "first I need to wash my hands, then I dry them so I can hold Hannah for two minutes."

Tomorrow the visiting nurse comes to check out the girls. I'm curious to know how much they weight. I know they are over the 6 pound mark. They are certainly filling out their clothing and hats.

Cute Pictures of the girls!
